Happy Friday!

On this beautiful Friday, I would like to cheers to my wonderful friend that just moved into a fabulous new apartment and is living her dream one sip at a time!  I hope we all become SO inspired by our dreams that it sparks lightning underneath us and we start making moves and popping bubbly to celebrate!  Or if anything, indulge in some of your favorite Champagne and let the bubbly start inspiring you!

Cheers to inspiration and a fabulous weekend!

Lobster Rolls and Champagne

As Lord Byron {here} once said… “A woman should never be seen eating or drinking, unless it be lobster salad and Champagne..”  I did just that a few Sunday’s ago however, a little less elegantly as I am sure Lord Byron had imagined.  I felt as though I stepped outside of NYC and into my most comfy-est of comfort zones, a New England vibe at – Luke’s Lobster {here} – the infamous lobster ‘shack’ in the East Village (93 E. 7th st.).  We grabbed a few lobster rolls to go and sipped and ate our rolls in bliss.

It was truly a day of firsts!  First time to Luke’s and first time trying Hosmer Sparkling Wine {here} from upstate NY in the Finger Lakes. So how was pairing these two firsts together? Lord Byron was right on point, as to my surprise this pairing actually tasted so exquisite and lovely that I was craving another lobster roll and more Hosmer!

The vibrant bubbles, honey, pear and apple notes went so well with the lobster meat, livened up the seasoning on the lobster roll a bit and the brut (dry) champagne/sparkling was delicate enough not overpower Luke’s delicious Lobster Roll.   A true New England dish that I will be replicating this summer in… New England!

What other Sparkling wines would you pair with a Lobster Roll?

A Special Champagne Treat for the Holiday Weekend!

Happy Friday to you all!

Here is a little something that will add some dazzle to your weekend – Pink Champagne Cake compliments of the Oceana Restaurant {here} in NYC. Enjoy and have a fabulous weekend!

**Thank you Taylor for sharing this special dessert with me!

“Sabering” Into the New Year… With an iPad!

I know it’s been a while since my last post prior to the holidays, however, I recently started a new job at the start of the New Year so things have been a bit hectic. But of course didn’t want to start out the year without saying Happy New Year to you all!

It’s a New Year, with a new job, and a new way to “saber” a Champagne bottle… with a new iPad.

2012 is going to be a GREAT year my friends!

Salud!

Put Some “Sparkle” Into Your Sparkling and GIVE!

Nothing screams holidays more than something sparkly and giving the gift that keeps giving! I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to go to the 20th Anniversary of Swarovski Crystal’s Holiday Ornament in partnership with Harper’s Bazaar last month, an auction benefiting The Art of Elysium (an organization that encourages artists, musicians, actors to work with children who are battling serious illnesses).  Each piece of custom artwork that was to be auctioned off was dripping with crystal and celebrated this wonderful cause. Not only did all of the sparkling inspire a great gift idea but it also reminded me that the holidays are all about GIVING and making other people smile.   So this holiday season, think of what you are GIVING, GIVE more than ever and don’t be afraid to add a little extra sparkle to it!

Give the most celebratory gift of all this season – Champagne w/ sparkle!   Very fitting underneath a shining Christmas tree!

Shout out to RS & SW for a wonderful night that enlightened us early on into the holiday spirit in which we celebrated with bubbly and sparkles for a great cause!

Keep Those Bubbles In!

The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is lit which mean it’s officially the beginning of holiday season! Parties every weekend and Champagne in hand is always what rings in the holiday season and New Year!  And of course, nothing is worse than when you are at a holiday party and your glass of bubbly goes FLAT.  So why not try this! Slip a raisin into your glass and watch the bubbles unfold!

Happy Friday!

Cheers to a very Happy Friday and weekend!  I am looking forward to a fabulous weekend in NYC with good friends sharing laughs and love over many bubbles trying to stay warm!  What will you be doing this weekend?  Anything fun planned?
